Instant Loss 2koma series (即堕ち2コマシリーズ Soku-ochi 2koma Shirīzu lit. "instant fall 2-panel") is a tag used on manga/comic-related works.
It is characterized by a sense of speed of skipping process, which can be called an "Aesthetics of Omission."

Instant loss describes where a character, seemingly either confident, smug, or apprehensive, predicts the outcome of an upcoming event and/or refuse to commit to it — only for the scene to shift to it, where they find themselves in that position and often gets the short end of the stick. Like when somebody tells them to come with them for an adventure and that person does not want to confide with them, only to get taken along anyways, with accompanying expression of dismay, annoyance, or disgust.
This is also known as a "Gilligan Cut" trope in America; a classic comedy staple using a similar skip technique that can be compared with the instant loss 2-koma skip.
