Overview

The Green-Eyed Monster (緑色の眼をした怪物, Ryokushoku no Me o shita Kaibutsu) is an English idiom for jealousy (green can be seen as the color for envy). This Japanese expression appeared in the Japanese translation of Shakespeare's tragedy Othello.

“O beware, my lord, of jealousy; It is the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meat it feeds on.”

This is also the title of Parsee Mizuhashi used in Double Spoiler. She is a green-eyed youkai (monster) with the ability to manipulate jealousy, and also has a spell card called Jealousy Sign "Green-Eyed Monster".
