Overview
Pretty Cure (プリキュアシリーズ, Purikyua Shirīzu, lit. Pretty Cure Series) is an anime series for girls produced by Toei Animation and broadcast every Sunday at 8:30 on Asahi Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and TV Asahi affiliate.
The series is one of the so-called "transformable heroine (battle heroine)" works, and was planned based on the concept that "even girls want to be violent", and is characterized mainly by fights using hand-to-hand body techniques and weapons and power-up items that are directly connected to promotional toys.
