    Anniversary (記念日, kinenbi,lit. anniversary day) is a day to commemorate some thing or past event. In a broad sense, it includes weeks, months, etc. It is sometimes used as the name of a national holiday and is often associated with the image of a happy day, but this is not necessarily always the case.

    Commemorative means something to be kept as a memory for later use, or something left behind by it.
