ASROC

US Anti-Submarine Warfare Missile

The ASROC (Anti-Submarine Rocket) is a family of US built ASW missiles originally developed for use against Soviet Submarines during the Cold War. The original RUR-5 ASROC was made to be launched from specially made 'Matchbox' ASROC launchers while the RUM-139 VL-ASROC was developed to be launched from the VLS Ticonderoga Class Cruisers.
